The three books that changed how I think about money. Start here.
The Millionaire Next Door
Thomas J. Stanley, William D. Danko
This book resonated so deeply that it inspired me to immediately change how I handled money. Based on research and interviews with millionaires, this book paints picture of wealth that doesn't look like the movies. The typical millionaire doesn't live a flashy, glamorous lifestyle.
This is one of my favorite books on wealth, and one I recommend to anyone who has real aspirations to build a solid financial foundation for their family.
Read this if you are willing to change your lifestyle for wealth.
I Will Teach You to be Rich
Ramit Sethi
If you're unsure of where to begin (or need a better system), Ramit can help you tackling the money basics. If you spend a lot of time managing your money (or feel like you are neglecting your money), I Will Teach You to be Rich can help you automate your saving and investing.
Read this if you want practical tactics and wealth automation.
The Little Book of Common Sense Investing
John C. Bogle
Do you know why you should invest in low-cost index funds? Bogle, founder of Vanguard, explains the math plainly: most actively managed funds underperform the index after fees. This book is the definitive case for passive investing.
Read this if anyone is charging you more than 0.2% annually, or if you'd like to know more about the philosophy behind index fund investing.
